Sony Xperia Z2 Android Marshmallow update
The Sony Xperia Z2 began to see Marshmallow arrive in mid-April. To begin with, only one model number (D6503) is seeing the update and in certain parts of the world, including the US, Russia and the Middle East. A wider roll out is likely to occur over the coming days and weeks, so stay alert. Head to Settings > About device > System update to see if your device is ready to be Marshmallowed yet.
Sony Xperia Z2 Android Lollipop update
The Sony Xperia Z2 now stands on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop; the last update came in December 2015. The update was primarily a fix for the stagefright exploit. The software version is 23.4.A.1.264.
